I had bought the Gerber folding saw a year or so ago and after very limited use and NO ABUSE the spine on the tool has broken. I have made a video about this issue, but the quick answer there is no “second chance” for this item with me. As a foot note I was a little disappointed with Gerber’s response to the issue, which was basically “Send it back, if we say it is our fault, we will repair it,” (NOT replace it) “If not you pay shipping both ways. Apparently Gerber, who I have had no problems with in the past, has grown to the point where customer satisfaction is not primary in their business model anymore. Thumbs down on this product for me, but I should at least mention that it is still useable, at least for now, check out the video and you’ll see my point.
